Egypt and the world now face the danger of losing forever many of the moving images that have become the collective memory of the 20th century. The Egyptian Filmmaker had produced Masterpieces, since 1920s. Now all these films are in great dangers.

Over the last hundred years, Egypt has been documented by a nation of filmmakers-professional and amateur alike-working in every corner of the country. These filmmakers have recorded our traditions, captured the events of the day, and expressed our ambitions. Their work is the collective memory of the twentieth century.Film, however, is fragile. As it ages, it decays. Film needs on-going care and attention if it is to continue to tell our story.

Egyptian Films are representation of this great culture and are extensions of the work of the ancient Egyptians who used drawing and painting to represent the society of that time visually. These same films are generally unheard of in the United States and it is our hope that along with preservation of these films, a greater audience and thus appreciation would be achieved
